Meet the Team

At Continental Fuel Group, we're built by people who have actually run the routes, managed the drivers, and grown fuel businesses from the ground up. Rob and Vincent bring decades of real operating experience and a genuine commitment to helping independent fuel operators keep thriving.

Rob Lewis, CEO

Rob leads Continental Fuel Group's day-to-day operations and acquisition strategy, working directly with owner-operators to find the right fit and ensure a smooth transition into the Continental Fuel Group platform. He knows the fuel distribution business from the inside — and understands the challenges of running a distributed operation where margins are tight and execution has to be right every day.

Rob is the founder of Everest Fuel Management, a jet fuel purchasing and payment processing business he built from the ground up to $10M in EBITDA before a successful sale to private equity. He went on to serve as VP of Sales, Marketing, and Corporate Development at Epic Fuels, a $2.5B aviation fuel distributor, where he led commercial growth and was part of the team that sold the business to World Fuel Services. He also served as CEO of Pentastar Aviation, a $150M fueling operations and aircraft services provider, and as CEO of NORA, a 1,100-person logistics organization.

He began his career as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Physics from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Vincent Hartnett, Chairman of the Board

Vincent brings the kind of strategic perspective that only comes from spending nearly four decades running some of the largest fleet and logistics operations in North America. As Chairman, he helps guide Continental Fuel Group's growth strategy and opens doors to the relationships and resources that give our partner companies a real competitive edge.

Vincent spent 38 years with the Penske organization, serving as President of Penske Logistics and Senior Vice President of Penske Truck Leasing, where he helped build one of the most respected fleet services platforms in the country. He has worked with multinational corporations on everything from dedicated fleet operations and distribution center management to carrier management and international freight forwarding.

Since leaving Penske, Vincent founded KeyTides, an advisory and investment platform focused on transportation and logistics businesses. He has served on the boards of Total Fleet Services and Miner Corporation, and is a Strategic Partner with Sidekick Operators.
